‘Rebuilding Lives’ is the maxim of Michael House, a hostel situated in Boscombe, Bournemouth. It provides needs for vulnerable people who require support and those who have a history of rough sleeping.  The house opened in 2000 and recently recorded its 500th resident.  The charity has been established for over 22 years and Michael House is due to celebrate its 15th anniversary on July 10th. Exhibition marks 150 years for RNLI

Poole museum is celebrating 150 years of the Royal National Lifeboats Institute in Poole on Saturday 16 May with an exhibition spanning the history of service by its courageous volunteers and crew. The story is shown through ‘never before’ seen photographs, pictures and paintings covering the heroic, award-winning rescue and evacuation of allied troops in Dunkirk during World War Two and film covering the evolution of vessels over 150 years.
