Prison-art exhibition opens

Homeless charity Crisis is holding a new art exhibition to showcase works by people who have spent time in prison.

The aim of the exhibition, Inside Out, is to help  who have been affected by homelessness or been marginalized to rebuild their self-esteem and confidence in life.

The artists have produced the artwork while in jail, on probation or while trying to rebuild their lives within the community.

The exhibition is being held at Crisis’ creative centre, The Bermondsey Project, in south London and will run until August 4 and will feature drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and films.
