Oysters back in fashion in West Somerset

A group of local residents opened a groundbreaking oyster fishery yesterday to be soley run by local youth.   Porlock Futures, a group of local residents opened the sustainable community food project to be run by young local volunteers  on the advice of an innovative community think tank. The new fishery is hoped to help with youth unemployment in the local area and attract tourists to area.  The Whitby based scheme is set to last for two years. Yum!
